National Museums Scotland were holding an
exhibition for the Lewis Chessmen. Since the chess
pieces are very small, they needed seven illustrations
drawn up at a large size which would link the various
exhibition panels together and help tell the story of
the Lewis Chessmen. Seven illustrations were drawn
up and used in the big panels behind the glass
cabinets holding the various pieces. These are just
two of the panels that were on show. If you hold
the cursor over the image it will show a second panel
from the set of seven on show at the exhibition.
